Back in December 2016, when the new card Goblin Gang was leaked, one of my friends said that he wanted to use Goblin Gang for Zap bait. Zap bait, however, has died down following the introduction of the Executioner, and Zap has since been nerfed to not one-shot Goblins at tournament level. RIP my friend’s motifs.
Goblin Gang is going to be the fourth and final release of the January 2017 update, as one new card was released every two weeks. Released at 2600+ trophies in Jungle Arena, this 3-elixir swarm card deploys three Goblins and Spear Goblins and could deal massive damage to enemy towers if left alone. The Goblin Gang is unique being the first card to deploy two troops at once, melee and ranged. Because it’s a Common card, it could be easily leveled, unlike the popular Skeleton Army, which is an Epic card. This card will probably tone down the usage of Skarmy, even though they’re both the same elixir cost. It’s also cheaper than Goblins+Spear Goblins by 1 elixir, hence the “25% off” deal. The Gang is a Clash Royale Goblin Value Pack.
Goblin Gang can be taken out by Log for a positive elixir trade and Tornado and Arrows for an even elixir trade. Like I said above, the Goblins won’t be taken out by Zap and be reduced to a slither of health. Goblin Gang is a decent counter against Graveyard and Hog Rider, although the Hog will still get a hit off your tower. Using Skeleton Army, Barbarians, and Minion Horde will not allow the Hog to get a hit. Goblin Gang could also take out Goblin Barrel for an even elixir trade if you react fast enough to the Barrel. Non-splash troops like Mini PEKKA or Musketeer could be easily taken out by the Gang. However, this will be a risky defensive strategy because of the high usage of Zap.
With all the cards of the January 2017 update released, the upcoming update is not far away on its tracks and might possibly be leaked soon. Since I don’t have special access to upcoming Clash Royale updates nor an employee or developer of Clash Royale, I’m as clueless as you guys are, most likely more. Keep notice for leaks from CR’s Opegit Studio and threads from SuperCell Forums and Reddit u/Clash Royale.
